What affects how fast a student finishes
- Class frequency — daily classes keep letters and rules fresh
- Home practice — 5–10 minutes of revision between classes
- Age and attention span
- 1-on-1 teaching, so mistakes are corrected immediately
- Accuracy over speed — a good teacher won't rush pronunciation
Should we rush to finish quickly?
No. Noorani Qaida is the foundation for everything that follows. A student who finishes it with correct makharij reads the Quran more beautifully and learns Tajweed faster later. Your teacher will move on to Quran reading (Nazra) once the student reads accurately, not just quickly.
What comes after Noorani Qaida?
Students move on to Quran reading (Nazra), starting with Juz Amma, and apply basic Tajweed as they read. Some children also begin memorizing short surahs at this stage.
Frequently asked questions
Can an adult learn Noorani Qaida in one month?
Some highly motivated adults with daily classes and practice finish in 4–6 weeks, but 2–4 months is more typical when learning with correct pronunciation.
