About the academy
About Al Noor Online Quran Academy
Al Noor Online Quran Academy (النور آن لائن قرآن اکیڈمی) is a women-led online Quran school based in Karachi, Pakistan, teaching since 2024. Our qualified female teachers give live 1-on-1 Quran and Islamic studies classes to kids, girls and women in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and worldwide.
Our story
Al Noor — “the light” — began with a simple wish: that every girl and woman who wants to learn the Quran can do so with a qualified female teacher, wherever she lives. Many sisters abroad struggle to find a female teacher nearby, and many children find big group classes hard to follow.
So we teach the way the Quran has always been taught: one teacher, one student, reciting and correcting together — now online, at a time that fits your family's day, whether you're in London, Toronto, Houston or Sydney.
Our teachers
All of our teachers are women, qualified in Quran recitation and Tajweed, and experienced in teaching young children as well as adult beginners. They explain lessons in English and Urdu and are trained to keep online classes engaging for kids.
